One looks after transport, the other handles budget details for the education department, but for much of this week Australian husband and wife, Khonsawath and Lami Jaiyawong, are concentrating on badminton.
The Jaiyawongs - he's 46 and she's 43 - have a full schedule at the NZ Masters Games, andit's been full on from the start.
"We arrived here late on Friday night and our first game was first thing Saturday morning," Khonsawath said.
They live in Canberra with Khonsawath working in the transportation business while his wife works for the Department of Education in the Australian capital.
From Saturday through until tomorrow they are focused on the badminton courts at Springvale Stadium extension.
However, they will still have some time to spend in and around the city. "We don't go home until Thursday so we're going to do some sightseeing," Khonsawath said.
They have competed in Masters Games events on the Gold Coast and Sydney, but this is their first visit to Wanganui.
"This is a lovely place and we're enjoying ourselves," he said.
