The 2014 Wanganui Premier League will continue as a five-team competition but only four of them will be in contention for the title.
Wanganui's Council of Clubs decided last week that there will be no competition points given in matches when Collegiate First XI plays the other four Premier 1club teams of United, Marist, Tech and Marton.
Collegiate are not able to play the full competition, because of commitments to inter-college games outside the district on Saturday's.
Council chairman Neil Kirkwood said in addition, on the weekends when Collegiate have to default, the club team that would normally have the bye will play the team at a loose end.
However, there will be no competition points given for those games as well.
