Netball Wanganui had a spoil of riches for their older age group representative team trials with the best turnout in several years.

Selection was held for the Under 17 and Under 15 age groups, starting last Sunday.

Operations manager Parekura Muraahi said they had 21 players try out for the Under 17's and over 48 make themselves available for the Under 15's.

"It was brilliant to see the depth of talent coming through the ranks, particularly at the Under 15 level.

"So much so, that we decided to select three teams for this age group."
