It is the intermediate graded greyhounds who provides the main 520m racing at Hatrick this evening when they contest the Wanganui Chronicle C3/4 event (Race 10).

The nation's current tearaway Trainers' Premiership leader Lisa Cole dominates the field, having accepted with six runners.

Both Bigtime Rise and Allegro Beaty hold a class edge over their rivals, with both being graded at C4 level.

Expect competitive races from both of these chasers.

The current form line On The Clock owns has been adversely affected by him having to contend with wide recent draws.

Being allocated trap-two to jump from here has greatly enhanced his claims.

He owns a tidy 30.06s best 520m winning time and going close to that time can see him featuring.

The draw advantage here belongs to Bigtime Onfire as she will hop away from the ace-trap. That brings her right into contention.

The other Cole-prepared runners have drawn out wide, however a minor portion of the stake can be secured by Bigtime Lady or Bushman's Smile if they can get handy to the pace when entering the first turn.

Two open class 305m sprints wraps up the meeting.

The Race 11 dash features the return to sprinting by Bear Inda Square for Cole.

He was brave when he tried to pinch an all-the-way 457m win at the Manawatu Raceway last Friday, where he was caught late.

Rain And Tears enjoys racing from the inside traps and she can deliver a competitive sprint from trap-two for her local trainer Nathan Udy.

Cole owns strong support claims in this sprint via Allegro Lass, Bigtime Thinker and Bigtime Ellie.

The final race sees the Angela Turnwald-prepared Lover returning back into the open class sprinting ranks.

He has been treated kindly for it after being allocated trap one to be loaded away into.

The local Freddy Kite-prepared and ultra-consistent Friday sprinter Sedgebrook Babe was denied a clear racing passage in her last 305m sprint here.

She must, and she can, hop away smartly from the lousy five trap draw she has been provided tonight.

Allegro Bloom has been provided with sound-looking swooping claims after drawing trap eight for Cole.

She has a pair of noted hard railing sprinters drawn on her immediate inner.
