The open class 520m greyhounds have today off after their recent Opawa Racing Wellington Cup series, which resulted in an emotional victory for the Dave and Jean Fahey-trained Brighton Bullet.

The Canterbury-based trainers were not at Hatrick for their third consecutive Wellington Cup training success owing to Jean's sister passing away earlier last Friday.

The intermediate graded greyhounds feature in the Keenan Concrete event tonight Race 10, 8.43pm.

It is a race where Boston Chanel can gain a deserved win following her recent competitive races against the open class greyhounds.

She will enjoy the class relief that she receives here.

Overlook the bleak looking form line that Graduation brings into this race. He has also been racing out of grade and a quick return to form wouldn't surprise.

The stayer Retaliate First has also been contesting stronger recent races. He is likely to be sighted putting in the big late strides.

And consider Bigtime Jet, who although he's giving away class to those mentioned above, is still likely to deliver a competitive effort.

Tonight's TAB Quaddie starts on the previous race (8.13pm), where Stellar Force adds a fair degree of intrigue at her first start on the track.

The former northern-trained sprinter owns slick early pace and she can lead her rivals throughout after leaping from the one trap.

Stiff Drink continues to deliver competitive sprints here and a similar effort is likely in this dash.

Homebush Sarge is benefiting from an easing in class here, while Belkara possibly can go one better than the sound second she produced last week.

The third Quaddie leg is a competitive looking open class sprint where Fiery Dancer can carry on with her recent winning form.

She backed up last Friday's 305m win at Hatrick with a stylish Auckland 318m victory on Monday.

Kennelmate Uno Allegro finished strongly to win at the Manawatu Raceway on Wednesday, while Avert has drawn to make her presence felt from the ace trap. Leadfoot Lenny has been known to ping away smartly and he can create some headaches for his rivals with similar tactics.

On to to the final Quaddie leg, where again a pair of kennel mates are favoured contenders. Armed Forces and Winning Knocka have both drawn to advantage.

The sharp sprinter Run Lacy Run struck traffic issues last week and cannot be risked, while upset claims are held by the nicely drawn Vicki's Quest.
