SMILEY FACES: It was smiles all round when Royce Tunbridge presented Rosemary Higgie with a cheque from funds raised at the annual charity day tournament at the Aramaho Bowling Club on Sunday.
The annual charity roll up at the Aramaho Bowling Club has netted Plunket Whanganui a healthy $1673 cheque.
The annual Wanganui Car Centre Charity Bowls Day on Sunday attracted around 70 bowlers, who convenor Royce Tunbridge said contributed to "one of our better fundrasiers".
"Each year we select a differentchairty, but they are usually centred around kids," Tunbridge said.
"This year we chose Plunket and let's face it, at some stage we've all been a Plunket baby. We were delighted to be able to present Plunket with a cheque for $1673 after the Sunday tournament."
The charity event was played in triples format with club member Ian Porteus skipping Christine Hawkins and Gayelene Reid to take top honours.
