It may have been fresh, cool conditions, but Chase Williamson was on fire at the second round the Harvey Round Motors Isuzu Winter Championships up on Landguard Rd on Sunday.

In the second round of Wanganui Motorcycle Club's winter motocross series, Williamson finished first in each of the four races that made up the 9-11 Year 65cc class.

Finn Lennox got four wins in the 7-8 Year 65cc class as well.

Racing at the winter series covers age groups ranging from 5-year-old mini riders up to the veterans in the 45+ grade.

From the morning to the mid-afternoon they would undertake a practice ride and then three races in the bid to win the most points.
