Tonight's TAB Quaddie at the Hatrick Raceway presents an interesting challenge, especially in the first two legs.

As usual it kicks off on race nine (8.06pm), an open-class 305m sprint.

Ate Pizza is returning from his Auckland group two Railway Sprint final assignment, where he endured a luckless outing.

Expect a competitive effort from this bloke.

Ciao For Now delivered a winning sprint here three weeks ago when resuming from a spell.

He has drawn ideally from where he can serve up a repeat dose.

Call Me Ralph has a power-packed finish. He is generally tardy at the start, so his poor draw here isn't really an issue.

With any sort of clear early racing passage he could be sitting poised to dive-bomb the lot of them.

The locally-trained Barry's Way is escaping from the open-class chasers for his 520m outing in the second leg.

He will enjoy the slight easing in class he receives here.

Zamdato has been producing consistent recent races here and although he prefers drawing closer to the rail, his presence can not be ignored.

The inside-drawn pair of kennel and littermates False Impression and Sammy James have both delivered solid enough races on this track to suggest that either could be sighted racing on the pace throughout.

The third leg is an open-class sprint feature, where track specialist Complicit will, deservedly, be all the rage.

He is seeking his 19th victory for 305m on this track and will be warmly favoured to achieve that.

Okay, if he does make a mistake here, sitting poised ready to capitalise is likely to be the locally mentored Enazuma.

She won last Friday from off the one-trap and has secured that kind draw again tonight.

The northern-trained pair of littermates Blue Jean Alice and Motherlee have both sprinted here well enough in the past to suggest either of them could feature here. Don't overlook first reserve Rosemore Osti if she gains a race start here. An unusual tardy start proved costly for her last Friday.

On to the final leg, where Rosemore Osti can redeem herself by swooping around the outer. However sprinter Guru Goose must be kept safe as he is returning from his recent Railway Sprint campaign.

The nicely-drawn Romberg Lass and the Canterbury visitor Elki are other chances.
