Heavyweight Pete Parson will be attending his eighth consecutive nationals, hoping to add another title to the previous 13 he has obtained.
Coming out of retirement, another multiple timenational champion in Richard Hood is a likely contender at middleweight, along with Brian Alderton, also a former champion.
At lightweight, Ryan Trevor-Roper will also want to claim another national crown.
The nationals will be held at St Patrick's College gymnasium in Kilbirnie, Wellington, on October 27.
