Sport Wanganui said it was hoping for about 500 entries, although there would be room for plenty more.
"The course is designed for youth and adults, and will provide a great opportunity for fun, laughter, team bonding, confidence building, mental and physical achievement. All participants will have their run time recorded via an electronic timing system." There would be prizes for the top three in each category.
Entry is $35 for adults and $20 for students. It is open to all adults, and secondary students aged 12 and up.
Also, a bus will take people out to the course and bring them back from Wanganui central, at a cost of $10 per head.
Hot food will also be on sale on the day, and Sport Wanganui will publish photos from the event.
