The Aramoho Bowling Club is hoping to have a host of well-known Wanganui people try their hand on the club's green next month for the cause of treating autism.
The Wanganui Car Centre Celebrity Bowls Day is for drawn teams of three, who will be joined by a regular bowler,to compete in four games.
No entry fee is involved and the club will supply lunch, with each player given an unmarked envelope which they can use to give an anonymous donation towards the charity.
The club picks a children's cause every year, with this tournament's contributions going towards the Wanganui Branch of Autism NZ.
"Regardless of whether you have ever been on a bowling green or not, it doesn't matter," said spokesman Mike Morgan.
