As well as their First XI having a familiar ring to it, the United CC 2nd XI will front up with a similar team for the start of the Premier 2 season either today or next week, depending on the weather.
United won the Premier 2 competition last season and
are strengthened in bowling and batting with the return of Tony Tatana, to off-set Jamie Whiteman moving up to Premier 1.
Leading the bowling attack will be captain Ritesh Verma, Marty Pennefather and Daniel Holly.
They will be supported by Bob Morgan, Hayden Kirk and Brad Watson.
In the batting department, Alan Kenny will be vying for the batting trophy again but will expect tough competition from Pennefather, Tatana, Stu Mosen, Jason Hauiti and Zeb Small, whom spokesman Max Carroll said was travelling to England and returning with his own cricket bat.
