Phillipa Baker-Hogan and her international rowing partner Brenda Lawson partied like it was the 1990's after adding yet another gold medal to their successful partnership at the World Masters Games on Lake Karapiro.

Representing Union Boat Club, Baker-Hogan teamed with the Taupo-based Lawson to reunite their 1993-94 World Rowing Championship winning combination.

Unsurprisingly, they dominated the Women's D (50+) Double Scull final to win the gold on Thursday.

It was another good day on the water for Aramoho Wanganui Rowing Club as Trevor Rush, Richard Brock and Des Lock teamed up with Whakatane's Graham Watt to convincingly win the the Men's G Grade (65+) Quad Scull gold.

AWRC's Pat Spriggens and Tony Upchurch earned bronze in the Men's F Grade (60+) Pair.

Spokeswoman Jacs Rush said there was a potential the club could have another medal as the Men's G Eight came a close fourth in their event, and the race was followed by two clubs complaining that the winners had broken the rules by allegedly altering their crew between the heat and the final without getting clearance.

If the formal protest was upheld, the AWRC eight would be upgraded to bronze.

The rowing module concluded yesterday with the mixed races.
