Turakina teenager Caleb Arthur is poised for more world travel after winning the male and overall titles at the 8th National Sport Stacking Championships in Wellington last weekend.
The 17-year-old has recently returned from the World Sport Stacking Championships in Germany where he captained the New Zealand side.
That honour
and in his latest form Arthur is heavily favoured to be included in the 2017 NZ Black Stacks team to compete at the World Championships next year in Taiwan as too will be Jasmine Anthony of Wanganui Girls College who finished second in the female division. Arthur's younger sister Shontae was third.
In Wellington at the weekend there were nine potential New Zealand records broken with Caleb Arthur possibly responsible for two.
New Zealand World Sport Stacking Association spokeswoman Tanya Sadlier said Arthur had possibly set new records in the individual the 3-6-3 and cycle stacking disciplines. Arthur stopped the clock at 2.94 seconds for the 3-6-3 stack.
