Palmerston North trainer Lisa Ahern has been on a race-winning spree at the Hatrick Raceway over recent weeks.

She has unleashed numerous home-bred greyhounds with the potential to feature in the later Group races.

In this evening's TAB Quaddie, Ahern holds a strong hand in the first three legs. In the first leg (race 9, 8.15pm) she has four sound prospects.

Sammy James has helped himself to strong recent wins at Hatrick and Manawatu and he can make it a hat-trick of wins this evening.

His littermate, False Impression, has drawn ideally in the ace-trap. His race fitness can't be doubted after he went under by a nose in his last outing over the 645m staying distance here.

El Jetta won a feature event here last Friday and she has drawn to swoop on her rivals, while her ultra-consistent kennelmate, Bigtime Latte, will be looking to reverse that Friday result when he looks to go at least one better than his last five consecutive second placings.

In the second leg, Ahern will parade Rosemore Osti to the 305m traps, seeking to make it a hat-trick of Friday evening wins.

She delivered the meet-best sprint times the past two weeks.

Ignore the form line that kennelmate Flag Waver brings into this dash. A recent run of unsuitable draws finally comes to an end for this noted railer.

She grows an extra paw whenever she draws the one-trap, from where she exits from here.

Of the others, last Sunday's Auckland Railway Sprint heat winner Stiff can make his presence felt, while the locally trained Enazuma endured a luckless sprint here last Friday.

Ahern produced Appley Road to deliver a bold New Zealand debut second in his Railway Sprint heat on Sunday.

The natural improvement he would have derived from that outing is likely to see him stripping a fitter chaser in tonight's third Quaddie leg.

Ahern's vastly experienced sprinter, Ima Spice, received few racing favours in his assignment here last Friday. His claims in this sprint can never be overlooked as he can race around here blindfolded - he will be contesting his 93rd 305m sprint on this track tonight.

The final Quaddie leg has no Ahern representation in it.

The Foxton training partnership of Paul Freeman and Angela Turnwald do hold a strong hand in it.

Their trio of Ate Pizza, Ate Power and Tiz Now are returning from their handy Auckland Sunday sprints and a win from either of these wouldn't surprise.
