Marton golfer Alan Stewart was forced to shell out a few sheckles in the 19th on Sunday after scoring his first hole-in-one.
Playing off a 22 handicap, Stewart smacked the perfect shot to ace the 135m par three 6th hole at the Marton Golf Course.
"I've been playing for 27
years and while I've been close quite a few times before, this was my first," Stewart said yesterday.
The heavy rain that dogged the region on Saturday had moderated by Sunday, but a stiff breeze still blew over the Marton links.
Stewart said he was unsure whether the strong breeze hindered or helped his cause.
