"Only you can control your future" - Dr Seuss. I often hear the words from those around me, about how people make other people do things. I left this kind of thinking behind some time ago. When I used to believe that other people made me do things, I didn't reallytake responsibility for what I did. Over time I began to realise that things happen, yes, but no one makes me do anything. I am in control of my future. Whatever I believe about what was set in motion when I arrived in this life, I have always had the ability to understand my choices and to reset them. Over the years, like so many others, I have reached out to friends, family, pastors, priests, guides, helpers, healers, gurus and my angels. Many of these people and entities have guided me along my journey, but the only one who can change me is me. As time has gone on I realise that I am not alone. There are many helpers, but only I can make the changes, only I can move the mountains for me. Only I can fill in the gaps in my life, only I can find what I'm missing. With help from my angels, I am convinced that nothing can stop me, not obstacles, not problems, not other people. If I am stopped, it is me that has stopped me. Along with that I know that only I can make myself happy, so it is good to have fun, to laugh a lot and to spend time doing the things that I enjoy. If others find that difficult, that is fine with me. I can be happy all by myself. So this week and every week, we are each are our own special journeys, creating our own experiences and controlling our own future. Arohanui. Shirley-Joy.
