Prime Cuts took out the bout 174-161 but not without a challenge form the youth in a rare topsy-turvy game.
"The young ones were trailing quite far behind at halfway then their youth kicked in an they ran us ragged," Camden said.
"It's quite unusual for a losing team to actually catch up but this came so close so many times."
Tactics, communication and old heads won, Camden said.
In the earlier game West Coast Bombers' development side, the Stealth Bombers, went down to their Swamp City counterparts, Honourable Mareikura.
Camden said while the Whanganui side was about 30 points behind it was a good showing for what was a fairly inexperienced team.
"We had some brand new skaters who have only just started this year so we are really pleased with how they performed," she said.
"There wasn't much in it at all and unfortunately we lost one of our best jammers halfway through."
West Coast Bombers' next event is on September 15.
