There was no overall winner in the Wheels in Wanganui at the weekend but these were the results from each class:

Best Mack, Mason James Mack Ultraliner v8; Best Kenworth, Jason Lethbridge Foxpine Logging 408 Kenworth Bulls; Best Scania, Scottie Meads Sharp As Linehaul Wanganui; Best Man, Hooker Pacific Wanganui; Best group, Loaders Wanganui; best Western Star (Buck) McCarthys Wanganui; Longest travelled, L.A Schreiber LTD W900 Kenworth; Best logger, Richard Tepu McCarthys Mack; Shiniest alloys, Bryan Menefy 8x4 Superliner; Best Support, St Johns Ambulance; Best Fleet, Total Log Haulage Ltd; Best Hotrod, Watsons earthworks Ltd 1968 Dodge Charger; Best Ford, Tania Anderson 1984 Falcon panelvan; Best Holden, EH Holden BNT Wanganui; Best Mercedes, Maggie 1990 Mercedes Benz Cosworth; Best Stockcar, Trent James 2010 Peewee Stockcar 56v; Best other, Andy & Faye 1963 Ford Thunderbird & 1973 Lilly put caravan.

Organiser Angela Teal said it was the first year of running the show and they had decided to have category winners chosen by the public vote rather than one main winner.

She said 60 vehicles were on show and between 4500 and 5000 people attended over the two days.

The amount of money to be donated to St John is yet to be finalised as funds were still coming in.
