Whanganui properties listed for sale online are attracting hundreds of viewers from Australia and England.

While property website realestate.co.nz recorded the most users from Manawatu-Wanganui, Auckland and Wellington during April, users from New South Wales, Queensland and England were also in the top 10 regions searching for Whanganui properties.

The highest number of searches was in the price range up to $200,000, with up to $250,000 close behind.

The website had 94 property listings for Whanganui for April with an average asking price of $262,894. The national average asking price is $661,129.

That data shows that in April, the Manawatu-Wanganui region had an all-time high asking price. The region hit $347,594, while new listings fell 1.4 per cent to 438.
