Lovers of art and beautiful gardens are in for treat this weekend as Wanganui Potters' Society hold their annual Art in the Garden show.
The annual event has moved to QT Nursery in Papaiti Rd this year with a large range of garden arts and crafts by locally and nationallyrenowned artists for sale and display.
The two day event will be filled with art, including clay demos, garden furniture, metalwork art, mosaics, paintings, pallet art, pottery, raku firings, sculptures, tepees and more.
Fiona Tunnicliffe recently held a workshop at Wanganui Potters' Society on Taupo Quay where members made a selection of interesting creatures.
Dogs, rabbits, elephants, goats, elephants, a rhinoceros and even a dragon will feature in the garden this weekend.
There will also be a selection of Kelly Stephens' Oamaru Sone garden art, Jan Penn's mixed media creations and Whanganui artist Joanna Ginn is looking forward to displaying some of her paintings and garden sculptures.
The QT Nursery at 60 Papaiti Rd is reputed to be a "piece of paradise nestled right by the river" and can be found a kilometre past the TOP 10 camping ground in Aramoho.
Art in the garden will be open from 9am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
