Police are reminding people in Springvale to secure their properties to deter burglars.
Whanganui police are urging people in the Springvale area to keep an eye out for suspicious activity after four burglaries in the suburb in the last seven days.
Sergeant Aaron Bunker said of the nine Whanganui burglaries reported in the past week, four were in the Springvale area with the
others spread across the city.
"People should ensure their properties are secure when they are away from them," Mr Bunker said.
"Items that have been taken in Springvale include garden ornaments and smaller televisions - things that people can carry easily."
Mr Bunker encouraged people to immediately report any suspicious activity to police.
