Iain Hyndman's Wanganui Tips
1: Sai Fah, Alto Potenza, Dash
2: Platinum Valos, Mr Axle, Play The Field
3: Scapolo, Art Deco, Shadows Cast
4: Peaceful, London Express, What A Smasher
5: High Quality, Indigenous Union, Duellicious
6: Pacorus, Peso, Duffers Creek
7: Botti, Bobby Dazzler, Red Beach
8: Kirkland, Monsieur, Thee Old Cougar
Best Bet: Pacorus (R6)

The Murray Baker/Andrew Forsman combination hold a strong hand in both Listed races at the Wanganui spring meeting on Saturday.

The Cambridge trainers saddle up Jackalberry gelding Botti and Darci Brahma filly Red Beach in the Listed $50,000 HS Dyke Wanganui Guineas and Savabeel filly Peaceful in the Listed $50,000 The O'Learys Stakes against her own age group.

Botii, a half brother to classy, but ill-fated galloper Lion Tamer and the talented Let Me Roar, won on debut as a two-year-old as did Red Beach before being put aside for a brief time to prepare for their three-year-old debuts on Saturday.

"Botti didn't have too much time off after his debut win and is forward enough, it's just whether he gets through that ground," Forman said.

The track was rated on the better side of a Heavy 10 by track manager Mark Buckley on Thursday and while the forecast was reasonable the surface was unlikely to improve to a Slow 9. There is, however, about five metres of new ground with the rail in the true position and unraced on since June 14.

"We had aimed Red Beach at the fillies race, but decided the guineas lacked depth and she had a better chance of getting black type. We just need to get them going for the season."

Peaceful is also a last start winner and that victory was franked with the subsequent win of second-placed Cyber Attack in Listed company at Hastings last weekend.

The stable rates the filly and while conceding this race does have depth are confident Peaceful will handle the conditions.

"It's a smart line-up, but she should get through the ground."

The stable also saddle up Indigenous Union and Pearlescence in the Take It Easy Tours Rating 72 2040m event on the undercard.

"We think quite a bit of Indigenous Union and Pearlescence will handle the ground. It's all about getting their rating points up to get them into better races," Forsman said.
