Patrice Mathey who won the A Grade Men's title with Jared Perkins

Wanganui Tennis Club was able to wrap up the season with the club doubles championships being decided last weekend.

The A Grade Men's title was won by Patrice Mathey and Jared Perkins, with the runnersup being Doug Ireton and Sean Edmonds.

Consolation Plate winners for the grade were Kevin Neil and Jeff Te Huia, ahead of Ricky Anderson and Ants Larkin.

B Grade winners were Relwyn Hooper and Ian Haden, with Terry Wright and Ahmed Wali coming second.

The B Grade had been played as a round robin, with Dave Butters and Lee Wainhouse coming third, while Ash Sutton and Ormond Torr were fourth.

In the A Grade Women's Doubles, the title was won by Karen Cranston and Suzie Snell, with Paula Fore and Tara Butters coming a close second.

Helena Ferguson and Mary Stobbe gave both of those pairings a good game.
