Osea Tairogi evades Taranaki's Kini Naholo at the Kaierau Country Club on Saturday.

The Wanganui Sevens team has settled on their squad of 12 for the Bayleys Sevens National Tournament in Rotorua this weekend.

The team was announced at the conclusion of their weekend camp at the Kaierau Country Club yesterday afternoon, following three practice games against the wider Taranaki squad on Saturday.

All 12 players selected were at the camp, with Samu Kubunavanua, who does not return from Fiji until later in the week, not being included.

Changes can be made right up until Friday at the meeting for all team managers in Rotorua.

For example, Te Atuarere Albert is currently bracketed as the 13th man, subject to a fitness test on his injured foot.

James Dorgan is also injury cover, while Shaquille Waara and Sheldon Pakinga-Manhire are on standby.

Wanganui's draw for Saturday's first day of the national sevens will see them open the tournament against Counties Manukau at 10.05am, followed by their weekend opposition Taranaki at 12.45pm and then Waikato at 3.35pm.

Those results will determine which post-section trophy Wanganui will contest on Sunday.
