Whanganui Women's Network manager Carla Donson says the Venus Unplugged show at the Royal Wanganui Opera House next week will be "stonkingly great".
The three-hour show will feature acoustic, folk, looping, jazz, funk, soul, and a little bit of rock 'n roll delivered by local and visiting musicians.
The benefit show will feature local performers Elise and Lizzie, Charlotte Melser, and Castlecliff Lights; Emma Gatsby and Company.
Taranaki bands Sonic Delusion, along with Juliet McLean and the Navigators have enchanted Whanganui audiences in recent months and they are back to join local artists in supporting the women's network.
Chocolate Box are Wellington duo Lisa Tomlins and Vanessa Stacey bringing their assortment of pop, jazz, funk and soul.
They performed in Whanganui for La Fiesta this year and many will remember Tomlins singing her memorable song Old Gold with Fly My Pretties.
Lizzie de Vegt is known to many in Whanganui as a lecturer for the contemporary music performance programme at Whanganui UCOL as well as her memorable performances.
Elise Goodge, as part of the group Auaha worked on Te Pari o Auahatanga - a Maori music album inspired by the 2015 floods in Whanganui.
Lizzie and Elise will perform together and Whanganui's UK import Emma Gatsby and Company will perform.
Charlotte Melser made Whanganui proud as a finalist in TV talent show Homai Te Pakipaki in 2015 and recently supported Charlotte Yates at Lucky Bar with her self-penned songs and acoustic guitar.
Castlecliff Lights, aka multi- instrumentalist Ellen Waugh, will deliver her unique sounds that have been described as a blend of X-Files and Gore's Golden Guitar awards.
All proceeds from the show will go to support the work of Whanganui Women's Network.
