The toilet block at Lundon Park will be demolished after repeated vandalism and a fire rendered it beyond repair.
Whanganui District Council has decided to demolish the toilets at the Castlecliff park because they "cannot be fixed and are unsafe".
The skate bowl at the park - which is separate
to Castlecliff's main skate park at Rangiora St - will also be removed because steel netting underneath has rusted out.
There are no plans to replace either the toilets or skate bowl.
"The toilets have not been in use for more than 10 years and there is a very popular skate park already in place at the Castlecliff Domain playground in Rangiora St," council's parks team leader Wendy Bainbridge said.
