Pirate ships are the order of the day for kids on holiday and visiting Trafalgar Square this week.

From Monday to Friday, between 11am and 3pm, the pirate building station will be on at Trafalgar Square.

Kids can make pirate ships and once they've finished that they get a chance at picking the right key to unlock the treasure box for a treat.

Leo Halvorson, 3, was there with his grandma who was thrilled the activity was being put on.

Leo managed to finish his pirate ship and was thrilled to get a snack out of the treasure box after picking the right key.
