Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car in Taihape on Friday morning.

A Hato Hone St John spokesman said it was notified of a motor vehicle incident in Mataroa Rd at 7.02am.

A Fire and Emergency NZ shift manager said fire crews from Taihape and Waiōuru responded.

“One person was trapped and they were extracted from the vehicle.”

An ambulance responded, Hato Hone St John said.
