Every Monday, the Chronicle fires some questions at a local. This week Liz Wylie talks to Whanganui Community Living Trust's new manager Tyron (Tie) Scown. Tie took some time out from a busy week stepping into the shoes of long-serving manager Mike Ward, who retired last week, to answer somequestions.
How long have you been working for Whanganui Community Living Trust?
Three weeks.
How did you first become involved in community mental health?
I have worked within the health sector for the past 15 years. For the past seven years, I have worked in the mental health and disability sector both in New Zealand and in Perth, Western Australia.
Stan Walker. I would ask him what is it like for him to live in Whanganui, compared to Australia. I would like to ask him what he misses and what he would like to see in Whanganui.
