State Highway 4 is closed between Whanganui to Raetihi

The NZ Transport Agency on Saturday advised motorists that State Highway 4, the Parapara between Whanganui to Raetihi, remained closed due to a high risk of slips in the area.

The Transport Agency and engineers are on site assessing options to remove the risk to enable to road to open.

Drivers are being advised to take alternative routes.

The NZ Transport Agency thanked road users for their understanding and patience. The next update is expected by 3pm on Saturday.
