The boss of Air Chathams has rostered himself on as crew for a flight this week, but it's not due to shaff shortages.
Boxing heavyweight Joseph Parker and his team are due in to Whanganui this week to spend some time talking to local youth, Te Manu Atatū Whanganui MāoriBusiness Network, and boxing hopefuls.
Air Chathams general manager Duane Emeny said flying with the carrier will be a new experience for Parker and the airline hoped he'd enjoy the friendly service and get to meet some of the staff.

Emeny said he often flies the routes to keep in touch with air and ground crew as well as ensuring customers get the Air Chathams commitment to service the airline is becoming renowned for.
He has rostered himself on for this flight - one of the privileges of being the boss - and was looking forward to meeting Joseph and his team.
