Celebrate the winter solstice with some soulful songs at Lucky Bar on Wednesday, June 20.

The stunning line-up of great local performers all bring something different to the evening.
The show will showcase the variety and depth of talented women performers we are so fortunate to have here in Whanganui.

At a time when, internationally and in New Zealand, the music industry is being challenged to examine its approach to promoting diversity, this gig is but one way to show that gender does not define or categorise the commitment, energy and skill that creates a memorable experience for an audience.

The line-up has five-piece group Awa, feature taonga puoro, solo sets from Aydie Holland, Taara Green, Charlotte Melser, duo Tai Uru, poetry from Airini Beautrais and to round off the show and get the dance floor jumping, a set from DJ Madalyn Newton. MC for the evening will be Christina Emery.

These talented people are all giving their time and talent to bring a superb songfest of music to the stage at Lucky Bar at 53 Wilson St to support the work the Women's Network does in the Whanganui community.
