A video game cost one sore loser more than he bargained for, a court heard this week.
Robert Barnes pleaded guilty in Whanganui District Court on Tuesday for one charge of wilful damage.
Police prosecutor Stephen Butler told the court at 12pm on December 19 Barnes was playing an arcadegame at the Tandoori Bite restaurant.
After a round of gaming didn't go his way he demanded the staff give him his money back. When they refused Barnes became angry and in frustration he kicked the door to the restaurant, leaving a hole.
When confronted by police about his behaviour Barnes told the officers he just wanted his $10 back.
