Save MetService has issued a snowfall warning for the Desert Rd/State Highway 1 in the central North Island.
The warning covers from 7pm tomorrow to 1am Saturday.
The forecast is for showers that may turn to snow about the summit. MetService said 1cm to 2cm may settle.
An update will be
issued by 8pm today.
