Fire and Emergency New Zealand crews from five stations battled a fire that started in the back of a furniture-moving truck.
Fire and Emergency was called to the truck and trailer on fire about 10.45am on Wednesday.
The truck was fully ablaze when crews arrived on State Highway 1, near
Hunterville.
Crews from Mangaweka, Hunterville, Marton, Manawatū and Whanganui attended, with six fire trucks in action.
The fire was under control by about 12.45pm.
