Is your pet the bee's knees? The cat's pyjamas? Or a dark horse?
Chances are it should be entered in the Mars Petcare Pet Idol Photo Competition.
The competition, run by the Wanganui Chronicle, is decided by reader vote. To enter we need a photo of your pet emailed tous with your name, address and phone number and we will send further details. Send to classads@wanganuichronicle. co.nz. Put pet idol in the subject line.
The winner will receive a Canon SX520HS digital camera - to the value of $399, and there's also a Mars petcare hamper to be won. Entry is $10.
All pet photos will be published in the Chronicle and the Midweek in the week beginning November 6.
Last year the contest was won by Bruza, a 10-week-old Shiatsu Maltese cross puppy owned by Kelli Taylor of Wanganui. There was some stiff competition, though, with a pig, a goat, a bird, a turtle and numerous cats and dogs that all received plenty of votes as well. The closing date is for sending photos to us is November 4 so there's not a lot of time. The contest is sponsored by Mars Petcare with prizes from Mars and Harvey Norman.
