Tiny Hands Paper Weaving sessions

Whanganui Regional Museum invites primary-aged tamariki and their caregivers to a series of fun, hands-on school holiday workshops encouraging creativity and confidence, led by local artist Purewa Hodge.
On Tuesdays, attendees will create vibrant woven designs. On Thursdays, participants will work with harakeke (flax) to weave a woven star, in preparation for mid-year Matariki celebrations.
Spaces are limited and koha bookings are open now.

The gumboot throwing capital of the world will host classic family games, such as egg and spoon races, gumboot throwing, bouncy castles and scavenger hunts.

Marton Harvest Festival
Marton Harvest Festival will host 150 unique stalls at Sir James Wilson Park.
From 10am to 3pm, people can expect to find everything from cheeses, olive oils, gins and wines to pickles, jams, jewellery and plants from local growers and makers.
There will be home brew, pumpkin pie and the largest pumpkin competitions, with prizes up for grabs.
