School head devastated by car theft

Aramoho School principal Deb Griffiths is devastated after the brazen theft of her car from the school carpark.

On Wednesday morning Ms Griffiths was carrying food items from the car to the school and when she returned her car had gone.

"The thieves entered the private property of Aramoho School and drove out past the Pacifica early childhood centre," she said.

"It's unbelievable that they felt comfortable enough to walk in and drive out in the principal's vehicle."

The car is a 2002 Toyota Rav4, registration number AUT823.

Ms Griffiths said it was distinctive because of its unusual mushroom/beige colour.
