Comedian Rhian Wood-Hill is coming to entertain a Whanganui audience with his Rhian-vested show.

Described as a "loveable hot mess", comedian Rhian Wood-Hill will perform at Lucky Bar + Kitchen on June 29.

Wood-Hill takes a lot of gambles and sometimes he knows what he's doing.

On stage and at the poker table Wood-Hill has charm, wit, and thorough analysis ensuring his success – although his career has not landed him in comedy without some wacky risks.

Rhian-vested is Wood-Hill's new hour-long comedy special about his time as a professional poker player.

His North Island tour follows on from a season in New Zealand International Comedy Festival and Best Comedy win at Nelson Fringe Festival.

Wood-Hill's debut solo show may have delved deep into family drama but Rhian-vested raises the personal stakes even higher than before.

The show promises to strip the comedian and his decisions bare to show the highs and lows of living off casino cash on the Brisbane coast.

Pop a few chips on the table, he is all in and has some tall tales to tell… but he isn't bluffing.

According to his bio, the Wellington-based comedian was the winner in the Most Improved Performer category at the Wellington Comedy Awards last year and is also a winner of plenty of poker games and a loser of a few more poker games.

Rhian-vested: Lucky Bar + Kitchen, 53 Wilson St, Thursday, June 29 at 8pm. Book at eventfinda.co.nz. Performance warning: May contain nudity.
