Police investigating vehicle partially submerged in Whangaehu River

Police are investigating in Mangamahu after a ute was spotted partially submerged in the Whangaehu River.

A police spokesperson said the vehicle is in the river near the Kowhai St and Mangamahu Rd intersection.

Police attended the scene last night but were unable to find anyone in the vehicle or in the nearby area.

A search and rescue team is conducting further searches this morning.
