A spade was one of the weapons used in the aggravated robbery of the Hospital Dairy.

Whanganui police have released CCTV images of the aggravated robbery of the Hospital Dairy in Whanganui.

Two men carrying weapons, including a distinctive green-coloured spade, entered the Heads Rd dairy just after 1pm on Saturday, November 18, and stole cigarettes. No one in the shop was injured.

Police are still appealing for the public's help to find the robbers and hope the CCTV images, although poor quality, will be a prompt for people who were in the busy area at that time.

One man is described as wearing a black hoodie, black trousers and a baseball cap. The other was wearing a black hoodie and grey trousers. They parked a vehicle outside the dairy and fled in it after the robbery.
