A 14-year-old Whanganui girl who had been missing since Tuesday, has been found tonight safe and well.

Jaymie Lee of Aramoho had been missing since September 10, and earlier today police made a public appeal for sightings of her - citing her connections in Palmerston North and Auckland.

However, just after 10pm tonight police released a media statement saying Lee had been found "safe and well" and thanked the public for their assistance.
