Whanganui police have arrested a person in relation to a fatal crash on Anzac Parade.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Anzac Parade, near Georgetti Rd, around 6pm yesterday.

A police spokesman said police are not in a position to confirm charges at this stage.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are continuing.
