Whanganui police are appealing for sightings of Richard, who has been reported missing.

Police are seeking sightings of a Whanganui man named Richard, who is missing after leaving hospital without being discharged.

Richard, 37, was last seen in the Trafalgar Square area at about 8.15am on February 27.

He was last seen wearing black shorts and a black T-shirt.

His sister, Sarah Michelle, said her brother, better known as “Richy”, has long, dark hair.

She said Richard had fled from Whanganui Hospital on February 26 without being discharged and the family were concerned for his wellbeing.

“He’s on foot, with none of his possessions after a mental health break – we are all worried,” she said.

“He’s got nothing with him, no phone, no money and no car.”

Anyone with information on Richard’s whereabouts is asked to contact police online at 105.police.govt.nz or call 105, using the reference number 260228/8656.
