The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched on Friday 22 June at 12.30 pm to Maxwell, on State Highway 3 for a motor vehicle crash involving a single vehicle.
A man in his 60s with moderate injuries was flown by rescue helicopter to Whanganui Hospital after a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 3 at Maxwell this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the accident near the intersection with Pukerimu Rd about 12.20pm.

Craig Gardiner said a van had left the road and rolled on to its side.
"We took the roof off the vehicle and extricated the person who was airlifted to hospital by rescue helicopter," Gardiner said.
A police spokeswoman said the person received moderate injuries.
