Person critical after serious assault in Marton

A serious assault in the Rangitikei town of Marton has left one person fighting for their life.

The person was taken to hospital in a critical condition after the incident on Broadway.

Police and ambulance were called to the main road at 9.45pm on Saturday.

Police are speaking to another person as part of their investigation. They are not seeking anyone else.
