Three people have been airlifted from Mt Ruapehu over the last few days.

A man has been airlifted from Mt Ruapehu's Turoa ski field after injuring his back in a fall.

The man in his 50s was picked up by the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter on Friday afternoon and taken to Palmerston North Hospital with moderate injuries.

About 4pm on Thursday the helicopter transported a 14-year-old female and a 15-year-old male from Mt Ruapehu to Whanganui Hospital for treatment.

A man in his 60s was airlifted from Ohakune to Whanganui Hospital on Thursday evening after a medical emergency.
