One person has been critically injured in a crash between a truck and a ute near Whanganui.
Diversions were in place after the collision about 6pm Tuesday at the intersection of State Highway 3 and Rapanui Rd north-west of the city.
Traffic was being diverted off the highway at BlueskinRoad to the north, and Montgomery Road to the south of the crash scene. Police advised about 11pm the road had reopened.
