A list MP who entered Parliament in 2014, Rotorua-born Tabuteau will hold a meet-and-greet with the public at Mint Cafe in the city centre at 4pm.
An economics lecturer and head of the business school
at Waiariki Institute of Technology in Rotorua, he stood for New Zealand First in 2002, 2005 and 2011 without success.
Of Māori descent through his mother, he replaced the more controversial Ron Mark as the party's number two to leader Winston Peters in February _ a result which surprised some.
Following the formation of the Labour, New Zealand First, and Greens coalition government, Tabuteau was appointed as the parliamentary under-secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peters, and o the Minister for Regional Economic Development Shane Jones.
